About
Built after the original depot burned on Valentine's Day 1925, the Historic Crossville Depot stands as a landmark of the town's railroading heritage. The Tennessee Central Railroad arrived in Crossville in 1900, making the depot a bustling hub for exporting rock and timber and welcoming notable visitors including First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and WWI Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Alvin York. Today the restored depot houses a gift shop, a meeting room with a scenic patio, and a caboose museum that delights visitors of all ages.
